Advanced Commercial General Liability: A Comprehensive Analysis

The Asian Insurance market has traditionally been property focussed and liability and casualty lines have largely remained under developed. Heightened public awareness is leading to stringent legal liability regimes, as Singapore and other countries expand their laws on corporate governance and environmental damage.

Commercial General Liability (or CGL as it is commonly referred to) provides broad & intensive liability protection for a gamut of different occupations & risk exposures. The breadth of cover & rigorous use of carvebacks (exclusions to exclusions) along with the sheer breadth of cover, necessitates a proper understanding of this preeminent liability product.

This is a new advanced level programme launched with the intent of providing an in-depth knowledge of CGL Insurance for Insurance professionals having handled liability products in the past & desirous of mastering this product.

The course content has thus been designed with a view that, upon completion of this 1-day workshop the participants will feel comfortable in handling these complex lines of business at par with international standards.

The Facilitator’s classroom delivery will concentrate not only on theoretical aspects, but underwriting nuances of these complex policies will be presented with a number of practical examples; claim incidents & rating methodologies
