  • In respect of Political Risk covers, participants will gain understanding of the Insurance solutions for covering losses due to Political action and instability including Confiscation, expropriation, nationalization, Currency inconvertibility and non-transfer, Contract frustration due to Political events and Sovereign payment defaults.
  • Real Life Cases will be discussed to highlight the importance of wordings and how they can affect the claim payment.

Facilitator

Atmaram Cheruvu

  • Atma is an Electrical Engineering graduate (BE). In addition, he holds LLB & MBA degrees.
  • He has over 30 years experience in Insurance, Reinsurance and Risk Management. The last position held by him was as Head (P&C) and Chief Underwriting Officer of Hannover Re branch in India. He was also a member of the Branch steering Board.
  • He has worked in senior positions with Sompo Japan and Royal & Sun Alliance JV.
  • Atma has handled various Political Risk and Political Violence proposals during his ten years experience working in a Reinsurance company.
  • Atma is a passionate trainer and has been a regular speaker on various Insurance, Reinsurance and Risk Management topics across Asia.
